Melissa Gonzalez

Mel grew up in New Jersey. She completed her BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University in 2023 where she studied how touch and proprioception inform motor outputs, and designed a system for closed-loop optogenetic stimulation modulated by rodent kinematics. Mel started her PhD at MIT in 2023 and joined the Wang lab to continue studying sensorimotor processing.
